Kumar Granites & Marbles

Our place is tucked away on 9th Cross in Kumara Park West, over in the 12th Block. It’s not a huge setup, but we make use of the space we’ve got. Being in this part of town is alright, it’s a bit quieter than the main roads but we still get our share of people coming through looking for marble and granite for their homes. Most mornings involve shifting slabs around to get to the ones underneath, which is always a bit of a puzzle. We have all sorts of stone piled up, and sometimes it feels like we’re running out of room, but we manage. The staff here has been around for a while, so we all know how the routine goes. We don’t go for anything flashy, just the basic work of showing people the material and getting it ready for them. The 9th cross can get a bit cramped when a delivery truck shows up, but the neighbors are mostly used to it by now. We’ve got a mix of things, some local stones and some others, just sitting there in the stacks. It’s a lot of manual labor, cleaning off the grit and showing the true color of the marble under the light. We keep the gate open through the day and just handle whatever comes our way, whether it's a big order or just someone asking questions about what might look okay in a small bathroom or kitchen.
