Laxmi Granites (India) Pvt. Ltd. is based at Plot 60-D in the Bommasandra Industrial Area. This part of town is dedicated to heavy work, and our plot is no different. It is a large open space filled with massive slabs of granite that have been brought in from different quarries. You can hear the sound of cutting machines and heavy cranes moving throughout the day. It is an industrial setting, so don't expect any lush gardens or quiet hallways. Plot 60-D is mostly concrete and steel. The office is a small partitioned area where the light is a bit dim and the air is filled with the faint smell of wet stone. We have a few staff members who handle the billing and the transport schedules. Most of the guys are out on the floor wearing boots and high-visibility vests. It gets very hot under the sun in Bommasandra, especially in the afternoons when the heat reflects off the stone slabs. We keep a large water cooler in the corner for everyone. There is no corporate polish here, just the sound of rock being worked on and the dust that comes with it. We don’t do much marketing or anything like that. Most of our visitors are truck drivers or builders who know exactly what they are looking for. It is a straightforward operation where we focus on the physical labor of the granite industry every single day.
