H M R Granites

Our shop is at No. 166 on Fair Field Road. We are right across from the Canara Bank, so that is usually how people find us if they get lost. We are located on the 2nd Cross and 2nd Main. It is a decent spot for a granite business. We have slabs leaning against the walls and a lot of different samples sitting out on the counters. It is a bit crowded inside, but we know where everything is kept. People come in looking for different types of stone for their houses or some other projects they are working on. We spend a lot of time explaining things about the different pieces we have. It is not just about selling; it is about showing what is actually in stock today. The office part is just a small desk in the back where we keep the ledger and all the receipts. We do not have a big computer system or anything too technical. It is mostly pen and paper and some old-fashioned talking to get things done. My family has been doing this for a while, so we know the stone business pretty well by now. The neighborhood is okay, and having the bank right there makes things convenient for some of our tasks. Some days it is quiet and we just sit and wait for customers, and other days we do not even have time to eat lunch. We just take it as it comes. It is a simple operation.
