We operate out of Plot 30 over in the 2nd Phase of the Jigani Industrial Area. If you’ve ever been to Jigani, you know it’s a place for serious industry. Our focus is on granite. We spend our time moving these massive slabs of stone from one side of the plot to the other. It’s a process. First, the stone comes in, and then we have to figure out where to put it. We use water to keep the saws cool when we’re cutting, so the ground is often wet and messy. It’s a gritty environment, not like an office job. We wear heavy boots and stay alert. The sun beats down on the stone, and it stays warm for hours. We deal with a lot of different people, mostly folks in the building trade. They want a certain look or a specific thickness. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just show people what we have in stock. The trucks come in early in the morning to load up. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves. It’s just how things go here. We have a rhythm to the day. It starts early and ends when the last truck leaves. We’ve been at this same spot for years and know the neighbors well. We just keep our heads down and work.
