Shri Sidh Granites & Marbles

Our yard is over in Jigani Village, right near the OTIS circle. It’s a busy spot with lots of trucks passing by all the time. Working with granite and marble is heavy stuff. We spend most of our days moving slabs around with the crane or just by hand if they’re smaller pieces. It’s always a bit messy with the stone dust getting everywhere, but that’s just part of the job. We try to keep things organized so we can find what someone is looking for without a struggle. People come by to see the patterns in the stone, and we show them what’s in the current stock. Sometimes the pieces have chips or rough edges, so we have to be careful how we stack them in the yard. It isn’t a quiet job at all. There is the constant sound of stone hitting stone and the hum of the nearby factories. We’ve been at this address for a while now. Most of the guys here live close by, so we know the area well. When it gets really hot in the afternoon, we take a break in the shade of the warehouse. We don't have any slogans or fancy signs. We just get the stone moved and sold to whoever needs it. It’s a simple way to make a living, even if it’s hard on the back. You get used to the weight of the slabs after a few months. The yard looks different every week as new blocks arrive.
