Amba Ceramic & Granites

We’ve been running this shop at No.63 on the ground floor for some time now. Seshadripuram is a busy area, and 1st Main Road gets quite a lot of traffic during the day. Most people know us because we’ve been here, handling all kinds of tiles and granite slabs. It’s heavy work, honestly. Every morning we open up and start rearranging things so customers can actually see what’s in stock. We get a lot of dust from the road and from moving the stones around, but that’s just part of the business. If you walk in, you’ll see stacks of ceramics leaned up against the walls. Some days it’s just me and a couple of guys helping with the lifting. We don’t have a fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a practical place where you can see the actual material. People from around the neighborhood come by when they are fixing up their bathrooms or putting in a new kitchen counter. We usually just sit near the entrance and wait for someone to pull up. It’s a straightforward life. We know the regulars and the contractors who work in this part of town. Sometimes the granite delivery comes late, and we have to stay back to get everything off the truck. It isn't a glamorous job, but we've gotten used to the rhythm of this street. We just try to keep the stock moving and the shop open.
