Hinglaj Restaurant is part of the Hotel Shree Hinglaj building out on the Deesa Highway. If you’re driving through Banaskantha, you’ll see us right across from that big Hawai Pillar. It is a handy spot for people traveling long distances who need to stop and eat. Being near the Iscon building makes it easy to find. We get a lot of travelers, truck drivers, and families passing through Deesa. The place isn't big on decorations, we just have plenty of space for people to sit and stretch their legs. The highway is always busy with dust and noise, so we try to keep the inside as comfortable as we can. We do a lot of traditional food that locals like. The kitchen starts early because the morning traffic on the highway never waits for anyone. It is a family-run kind of thing, so you might see different cousins or brothers helping out depending on the day. We aren't a big chain or anything, just a local eatery on a main road. Sometimes the power goes out or it gets too dusty, but we just keep going. People know us for being a reliable stop when they are tired of driving. We’ve been here long enough that even the regulars on this route don’t need to look at the sign anymore. We just keep the water cold and the food hot for whoever stops by.
