Chitrasani Restaurant

You can find us at the Balaram Palace Resort right on the Abu Palanpur Highway. We are technically in Chitrasani Village, which is a quiet spot out here near Palanpur. Being on Highway No 14 means we get a lot of people driving through between cities. Some are tourists heading up towards Abu and others are just locals from the village. The restaurant is part of the resort grounds, so it’s a bit different than a roadside shack. We have been here for some time now, serving whoever stops by. The kitchen starts early because travelers usually want breakfast before they get back on the road. It gets a little dusty out here sometimes with the traffic, but inside it is mostly calm. We don't go for anything too complicated with the menu. It's just food that people know and like. We have a few tables and the staff usually knows the highway schedule pretty well by now. The village of Chitrasani is right there, so we have some of the locals working with us too. It is a decent place to take a break if you have been driving for hours. The parking area is big enough for cars and buses. We aren't trying to be the fanciest place on the highway, just a reliable stop for a meal. Sometimes the power goes out, but we have a backup. It is just a normal day-to-day operation for us here near Palanpur.
