Sakshiyadav Farmer Producer Company Limited is basically us, a group of neighbors and friends from Gram Ramupura. We run things out of Dharmpal’s place near Post Mahuaband. Kulahar is where we’ve lived all our lives, and the farming here is what we do every day. It’s a quiet place, but the work is never really finished. We decided to put this company together because we saw that we were all facing the same problems with our crops and the costs of running a farm. In Akauni, everyone knows everyone else, so it made sense to team up. We don't use any big words or have a fancy strategy. We just look at the fields and decide what needs to happen next. Sometimes we get it right, sometimes we don't. That’s just how farming goes. It’s more about helping each other out when someone’s tractor breaks down or when the rain comes at the wrong time. We spend a lot of time sitting around talking about how the soil is and what seeds might grow better this year. This company isn't about getting rich or being famous. It’s about making sure our families have what they need to get by. We are just regular people from Ramupura who know a thing or two about the land and want to keep it that way for a long time. It isn't always easy, but having each other makes the hard days in the field a little bit better for everyone.
