Utthan Baskhari Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is based in Village Mundera, which is in the Alapur area of Ambedkar Nagar. We are at Gangaram’s place. It’s a small village setup where we handle agro-producer activities for the local farmers. The name Utthan Baskhari refers to the local region. We’ve been working together to try and improve how we sell our produce. In Ambedkar Nagar, agriculture is the main way people make a living. The office is just a front room in the village where we keep the ledgers and some samples of what we are growing. Gangaram is the one who keeps things running on a daily basis. We have people coming in and out all day asking about seed prices or when the next truck is coming. It’s a bit chaotic sometimes, especially when multiple farmers bring their stuff at once. We don't have any fancy mission statements. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields translates into something we can live on. It is honest, hard work. Sentence lengths vary because we just talk about what’s happening at the moment. Some days we just sit and drink tea while waiting for a delivery. Other days we are busy from sunrise. That is just the nature of farming in Uttar Pradesh. We are just local people trying to make the most of our land in Mundera.
