Bahuudeshiya Farmers Producer Company Limited is over at House Number 103 in the village of Gauwapar, Ballia. We are just a local group of farmers who decided it was time to work together as a proper company. The name is a bit of a mouthful, but the work we do is very simple. We grow our crops and use this company to help us move them to the market. Ballia is our home, and Gauwapar is where most of us have our land. The office is really just a part of the house where we keep the records and meet when we need to make a decision. It’s nothing like those offices you see in big cities. We spend most of our time out in the fields anyway. We don't have a marketing budget or any of that. We just rely on the fact that we know how to farm and we know our neighbors. Sometimes the work is slow and other times we are working late into the night to get things packed. It’s honest work, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. Most days it’s about checking on the water or seeing if the seeds we bought are doing what they should. If you’re ever in Gauwapar, stop by house 103 and you’ll see how we run things.
