It’s a local group of farmers. We don’t have a big corporate building. We just use house number 1 for our meetings and work. Ballia is where we live and where we farm. It’s a hard-working place. We started this company because we wanted to have more control over how our crops are handled. Most of us have been farming since we were kids. We know the soil here in Bhaluhi better than anyone. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or anything. We just get together and decide what needs to be done for the season. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone drinking tea and looking over some lists. It’s a very grounded way of doing things. We don't use big words or try to impress people. We just focus on the farming and the members. It can be a bit messy sometimes, but that’s just how farm work goes. We’re glad to be part of the Ballia community and we just keep our heads down and work. There is always something to fix or plant around here, and we stay busy throughout the entire year.
