Layer Leaf Farms Private Limited is based out of House No-4 in Sahpur village. If you know the Bansdih area in Ballia, you probably know how things look around here. It is a very traditional part of Uttar Pradesh where agriculture is pretty much the main thing everyone does. We don't have a massive office building or a bunch of signs pointing the way. It is just a regular house where we handle the business side of things. Most of the day is spent checking on the fields or talking to the laborers who help us out. The roads can be a bit bumpy depending on the season, especially when the rains hit and the mud gets everywhere. We just deal with those things as they come up. We are not some big corporation from the city trying to change the world. We are just local people trying to make a living from the land. Sometimes the crops do well and sometimes they don't, that is just the risk you take in this line of work. We keep our records in simple books and try to stay organized without making things too complicated for ourselves. It’s a plain life but it keeps us busy from morning until sunset. We see the same faces every day at the tea stall and that makes the work feel more personal for us. We just keep our heads down and work.
