Baba Ramdahin Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our little group, Baba Ramdahin Farmer Producer Company Limited, is based at House No. 308 in Daulatpur. It’s Mrs. Soniya Singh’s place, and she’s kind enough to let us run things from there. We’re located in Ballia, which is a real farming community. We don't have a glass building or anything. We just sit around the table in the house and talk about what the farmers need this season. It's a lot of paperwork, honestly. Trying to get all the producers on the same page takes time. We spend a lot of afternoons drinking tea and going over the accounts. Being in the 221713 area means we are right where the action is. When the harvest comes, the house gets really busy with people coming in and out. It’s a bit messy sometimes with all the registers and bags of samples laying around. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We just want to help the folks in Daulatpur get a better price for their hard work. Sometimes the electricity isn't great, so we finish our work by candlelight or just wait for the morning. It’s a very local way of doing things, but it feels right for us. Everyone knows where to find us if they have a problem. We’re just a bunch of neighbors trying to make the farming business a bit easier for everyone involved in this part of Ballia, Uttar Pradesh.
