Antaratma Narayan Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of a house in Karihara, Beruwarbari, in the Ballia district. It’s House No 2Y, belonging to Mr. Sudishtha Narayan Singh. Ballia is way out on the eastern side of Uttar Pradesh, and things run a bit differently here. We are a group of farmers who decided to pool our resources. It is not some big investment firm. It is just us, the people who live in Karihara and the nearby villages. We spend most of our time out in the fields or sitting around the house talking about the next harvest. The goal is just to make things a little easier for the local growers. When you come to our place, you won't find receptionists or fancy furniture. You'll probably find a few of us sitting on plastic chairs going over the latest accounts. We deal with all sorts of crops, depending on what the season allows. The soil around here is good, but you have to know how to treat it. Since we all grew up here, we have a decent handle on that. We don't really do advertisements or anything. Most people know who we are just by word of mouth. It's a small community, and we like keeping it that way. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work that needs doing every morning. There is always something to fix or a field that needs checking.
