Padmavathi International School

Padmavathi International School is situated in Hosur, which is part of the Jamkhandi Taluk. It is a bit far from the main city, so the surroundings are relatively quiet. We have a building that is large enough to accommodate all our students comfortably. Even though the name includes the word international, we are a very local school at our core. Most of the kids come to us from the villages in the surrounding taluk. The classrooms are basic and functional, which is all we really need to teach. We spend a lot of our time focusing on the core subjects like math and science. The teachers here mostly live nearby, so they are familiar with the families in the area. We have an open yard where the children spend their breaks playing. It is mostly just a dirt space with some patches of grass, but it works for them. We do not have a lot of expensive equipment or high-tech tools. We just use what we have available. The school day starts early with an assembly, and then everyone goes to their respective rooms. It involves a lot of reading from textbooks and writing in notebooks. We have some shelves for books and cupboards for our supplies. Occasionally, we have to deal with minor repairs around the building. We do not have a marketing department. We just exist to serve the children in this part of Jamkhandi Taluk.
