Keshav Cements

We’ve been here in Lokapur for quite a while now. My name is Sanjeev Kulkarni and I handle things here, following after my father, K H Kulkarni. If you look for us, we are right at Navodaya Minerals. Bagalkot district gets pretty hot during the summer months, and the dust from the minerals is just part of our daily life. We don’t have a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s mostly just us sitting at the desks, taking orders, and making sure the trucks get loaded correctly. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoons, so we just sit outside and wait for it to come back on. The roads around here can be a bit bumpy, which makes the transport part of the job a bit of a headache sometimes. We know most of the people around the 587122 area since everyone knows everyone in a place like this. It’s not a complicated business. We just deal with the cement and the minerals and try to keep things moving. My father started this and now I am keeping it going as best as I can. We see the same faces every week. It is just steady work. People come by, they ask for what they need, and we figure out how to get it to them. There isn't much more to it than that. We just stay busy with the local needs here in Lokapur.
