Our place is located at 5-3-638 in Jamhandi, and that's where Dolmi Cement Company Yadwrd does its business. It’s a pretty straightforward setup we have here. We deal with cement every single day, so things tend to get a bit grey and dusty around the yard. The trucks come in through the main gate, get loaded up, and then they're off again to some construction site nearby. We don't have many employees, just enough to keep the operations moving along. It’s a lot of physical labor, but that’s the nature of the industry. We've been in this part of Jamhandi for a while, and the neighbors are used to the sound of the equipment running. Sometimes the rain slows us down because keeping the bags dry is a constant battle. We don't have a fancy reception area or anyone to answer phones with a script. Usually, someone just yells across the yard if a customer pulls up. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but the work gets done and the cement goes out. We just try to keep things simple and not worry too much about the small stuff. It’s about being reliable and showing up every morning to start the machines. We drink a lot of tea to keep us going through the afternoon shift. That’s just life at the yard, making sure the orders are filled and ready.
