St Meeraj English Public School

Our school is located on Astupura Road in the Astupura part of Mau. It is a simple building that has been around for a good number of years now. St Meeraj English Public School is where a lot of local children from this side of town spend their weekdays. The street outside can get pretty cramped with rickshaws and people walking to the market, but once you step inside the gates, it is all about the classes. We have rooms for different grades, and they are filled with the usual desks and blackboards. You won't find anything overly fancy here, just a place meant for studying. The teachers are mostly people from the nearby areas who have been with us for a long time. They know the families and the kids well. Every morning starts with the assembly, and then it is straight into the subjects. The hallways are narrow, so it gets a bit loud when the classes change, but it settles down quickly. We have a small space for the kids to run around during their lunch break. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to open all the windows to get a breeze, which is just part of daily life here in Mau. The office is right by the entrance where parents come to pay fees or ask about their children's progress. It is a regular school doing its job for the community without making any big claims or promises.
