Sharda Public School

Our school, Sharda Public School, sits right in the middle of the market area at Fariya Chowk. If you have ever been to Azamgarh, you know how loud and lively the market gets. We are right there in the thick of it. The school is a familiar spot for people living around here. It is not a very quiet location because of the shops and the traffic outside, but we have gotten used to the noise over the years. The building itself is an older one, and we keep it running as best as we can. We don't have any polished marble floors or fancy air conditioning in every room. It’s just a normal school with chalkboards and rows of benches. In the mornings, the students walk through the market stalls to reach the main gate. You can smell the tea and snacks from the nearby vendors while we are doing the morning assembly. We have a small playground, though it’s mostly just hard ground. We spend our days teaching and grading papers in the staff room, which is usually cluttered with books. It is a very local setup. We don't spend money on big signs or flashy brochures. Most families find us because they live just a few streets away or they heard about us from a neighbor. We just do our work here in the market every day regardless of the heat or the rain.
