Public Mahila Sahar Degree College

Our college is situated in Baramadpur, which is part of Mohammadabad Gohna here in Mau. Public Mahila Sahar Degree College has been around for those who live in this district and want to continue their studies after school. It is mostly women from the local villages and the town who come here. The building is a plain structure, nothing too fancy, just solid walls and big classrooms with fans that hum all day. During the exam season, the halls are very quiet, but usually, there is a lot of chatter between classes. Students sit out in the open areas or talk in the corridors about their subjects. Most of them travel a bit of a distance to get here, using the local buses or cycles. We have the usual subjects like arts and science. The office handles the paperwork and the admissions every year, and it gets quite busy around June and July. It is a local place, so most people know where Baramadpur is if you ask around the market. The teachers live in the area too, so they understand the local life. It is just a regular degree college trying to give the local women a place to get their degrees without having to go all the way to a big city. The trees around the yard provide some shade during the hot afternoons in Mau. We have been doing this for a while and it's just a normal part of the town now.
