People around Sadar Chowk Bazar know our building pretty well by now. It is right in the middle of everything in Mau. We have been here a long time, watching the market change outside the gates. Most mornings start with the sound of shutters opening in the bazar and students arriving on their bikes or walking from the nearby bus stands. The college has rooms that stay cool even when the UP summer gets really hot outside. We spend a lot of time just keeping things running, fixing desks, and making sure the fans work. It is a busy place, especially during exam season when the corridors get quiet and then very loud once the papers are done. You can see the old clock from the street. Students sit on the steps during their breaks, eating snacks they bought from the vendors right outside the gate. It is not fancy, just a place for learning that fits into the life of the town. The staff knows most of the families around here since many generations have come through these doors. We don't have those big glass offices or anything, just standard classrooms and a lot of books. It gets a bit dusty with the traffic from the market, but that is just part of being in the heart of Mau. We mostly focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the office paperwork is filed properly every day.
