Foot Steps Kindergarten

If you know Osmanpura Circle in Aurangabad, then you know exactly where Foot Steps Kindergarten is situated. We are right in that area, so it is quite easy for parents to drop off their little ones on their way to work or the market. Being a kindergarten means it is never really quiet inside our walls. There is always someone crying or someone laughing, usually at the same time. We have got some colorful mats on the floor and some basic toys for the kids to play with when they are not doing their lessons. It’s a simple setup we have here. We do not have any big fancy buses, so most kids live nearby and their parents just walk them over. The building stays cool enough in the summer, which is good for the toddlers. I spend most of my day making sure nobody trips over the blocks and that everyone gets their snack on time. It is a lot of work looking after small children but we are used to it by now. People in this part of Maharashtra know us as just the local spot for the youngest kids to start out. We do not do anything too complicated, just basic drawing, some songs, and teaching them how to sit still for a few minutes. It feels like a big family most of the time. The walls have some drawings that the kids did last month.
