We are based out in the village of Aurangabad, not too far from the Naini Saran Tirth Sathal. It is a peaceful spot in Tehsil Misrikh. We work with all kinds of herbs throughout the year. The weather changes, but the work stays the same. We spend a lot of time drying things out and making sure the herbs stay fresh in the storage area. It gets a bit crowded inside when the new crops arrive from the local fields. We aren't a huge factory, just a group of people who know how to handle plants. Sometimes the gate squeaks and we forget to oil it, but the work gets done regardless. People visiting the Tirth Sathal sometimes wander by. We mostly stay focused on the processing side of things. It can be a bit messy with leaves and stems everywhere, but we clean up at the end of every day. Our office is just a small room with a desk and some old files. We don’t use any complicated machines, mostly just our hands and some basic tools. The village life is slow and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and pack the herbs for our customers. It is what we know how to do best. There’s always a fresh smell of greens around the building. We just keep going according to the seasons and what the land gives us. It is a simple way to make a living.
