Out here in Khalwadi, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Mohaguni Green Gold Agrotech Private Limited is based right in the middle of the farming belt near Paithanpachod. Most of our days are spent checking on the trees and the soil rather than sitting behind a desk. We named it Green Gold because that is how we see the mahogany and other crops we are working with. It is a lot of physical labor and keeping an eye on the weather. If it doesn't rain when it should, we are all in trouble. The office is just a simple building in the village where we keep our tools and some basic records. We don't have air conditioning or fancy chairs, just some plastic ones and a wooden table. We are just local people who know the land and want to make the most of it with some better tech and methods. It’s not always easy because the electricity goes out and the roads aren't great for the trucks. But we grew up here, so we are used to it. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We just want to grow healthy plants and help the local agriculture scene stay strong. It is honest work and at the end of the day, we are usually covered in dust but we feel good about what we did.
