Ushaarun Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are just a group of people from around Achhalda working out of Arun Kumar Dube’s place near the Station Bazar. It’s not a big office or anything. We spend most of our time dealing with whatever the season throws at us. Sometimes the rain is too much, or the market prices drop right when we have a lot to sell. We started this company because individual farmers have a hard time getting things done alone. Down here in the bazar area, life moves at its own pace. You’ll find us mostly talking about seed quality or trying to figure out transport for the harvest. It’s hard work and the sun gets pretty hot out there. We don't have fancy desks. Most of the meetings happen with a glass of tea while someone is leaning against a tractor. We just try to get a fair deal for the crops we grow. The name on the paper says Ushaarun Farmer Producer Company Limited, but to the neighbors, we’re just the same folks they see every morning. It’s a lot of paperwork sometimes, which none of us really like, but it has to be done to keep things official. We’re just trying to keep the farms going and maybe make things a little easier for the families around here. Nothing fancy, just honest work and trying to stay ahead of the next harvest. We hope things stay steady for everyone.
