Auraiya Agro Welfare Farmer Producer Company Limited

Auraiya Agro Welfare is based in the Badanpur area, right near the Police Line. Pankaj Kumar handles a lot of the coordination for our group. We are just a bunch of local farmers who decided to stick together. The word welfare is in our name because we really do care about how everyone in our group is doing. Farming can be a lonely and difficult job, but it’s easier when you have friends to talk to. We don't have any polished business plans. We just focus on the day-to-day work of growing our crops. The fields around Auraiya are where you will find us most of the time. We deal with all the usual problems like pests and unpredictable weather. We share what we know about the soil and try to help each other get the best results possible. Instead of selling our stuff individually to whoever comes by, we work together to get a better deal. It’s just common sense. We use Pankaj’s place for the paperwork, but we aren't office people. We are much more comfortable with a shovel or a tractor. We just want to make sure we can keep doing what we love and support our families. It’s a modest way of life, but it’s ours. We don't need any fancy language to describe it. We are just farmers from Badanpur working hard to make things work for everyone involved.
