Our company is Farrukhabad Shamshabad Up Farmer Producer Company Limited. It’s a bit of a mouthful, but it says exactly who we are and where we come from. We are based at Manoj Kumar’s place in Khurma Vaidkmj. Farrukhabad is known for its potatoes and other crops, and we are right in the middle of all that action. Manoj is the one who keeps everything running. The office is just a room with some old desks and a lot of paperwork piled up. We spend our time talking to the growers in Shamshabad and trying to figure out the best way to move the produce. It’s a lot of phone calls and a lot of sitting around waiting for trucks. The dust in the air is constant during the dry season. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters. We just write what we need to in our ledgers. It’s a hard life sometimes, and the money isn't always great, but it is what we know. We just want to help our neighbors get a fair deal for their sweat and toil. It’s about sticking together as farmers in this part of Uttar Pradesh.
