We are over in the Vermapurwa Danshah area, working out of the place belonging to Suraj Prasad. It is a small village setup where most of us have been farming for a long time. This producer company started because we needed a way to manage our work better. Most days involve checking on the crops and talking to the other guys in the village about what we need for the next season. The roads around here can be a bit dusty, and things move slow, but that is just how it is. We try to keep things simple and honest. Being in Auraiya means we deal with the local soil and the weather patterns we have known since we were kids. There isn't anything fancy about how we run things. We just sit together, figure out the seeds or the tools we need, and get it done. Suraj's place is usually where we meet up after the sun goes down to talk about the harvest or if someone needs help with their tractor. It is just a group of local people trying to make a living from the land without too much fuss. We don’t have a big office or anything like that. Just the fields and a small room to keep our papers in order. It’s hard work, but being part of a group makes it feel a bit easier when the rain doesn’t come on time or the market prices change.
