Shyam Group

Shyam Group is our business and we operate out of Shyam Steel Industries in the Raturia Industrial Area. This is located in Angadpur, which is part of the West Burdwan district. It’s a heavy industrial zone, so there are a lot of factories and smoke around here. We’ve been here for a long time and the place feels like home to us. Our building is quite large, and we have a lot of machinery running throughout the day. It’s not a quiet place, but we like the hum of the machines. We don't have a marketing team or people in suits walking around. Everyone here wears work clothes and we aren't afraid to get our hands dirty. The roads in Angadpur can be a bit rough, especially when the rains come and the mud gets everywhere, but we still manage to get the work done. We focus on the steel production and that’s about it. There’s no big mission or anything like that, just making sure we do the work right every day. Most of our workers have been with us for decades and they know the machines better than anyone. We appreciate being in West Burdwan because it's a hub for this kind of work. We don't do anything fancy, we just show up and start the furnace or the cutters and get on with the day’s tasks. Sometimes we sit outside for a quick lunch if the weather isn't too hot.
