Sabita Enterprises

We are located in Santinagar, which is part of the Burnpur area. The police station is Hirapur, and we are right here in the West Burdwan district. It is a quiet enough spot compared to the big cities nearby. Most days at Sabita Enterprises involve a lot of checking ledgers and moving heavy boxes around the floor. The shop is not very large so we have to be smart about where we put the new stock. There is always a layer of fine dust that comes in from the road, no matter how much we sweep the entrance. We have been here for a long time and seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. People from the village come in to talk or pick up what they need for their work. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we go about our business. It is just a few of us here doing the daily tasks. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit outside on the stools for a bit until the lights come back on. We do not use any fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still written down in big paper notebooks with a pen. It is a simple life in Santinagar. We know most of our customers by their first names and we know their families too. It is just a local business trying to keep things moving along in our little corner of Burnpur.
