Our unit is Plot No. 145/b in the G.I.D.C. Estate, and it’s right near the fire station. Having the fire station so close is actually a great landmark because people always get lost in the industrial estate. The area is full of warehouses and small factories, so there’s always the sound of machinery or trucks in the background. We have a fairly basic setup here. It’s mostly about the production floor and a small corner for the paperwork. We don't spend money on fancy signs or expensive furniture. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't really affect the work we do. Most of the guys have been working here for years, so we all know the routine by heart. When the sirens go off at the fire station for a drill, it’s a good reminder of the time. We deal with suppliers and logistics every day, which can be a bit of a headache when the roads are blocked. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We keep things simple and try to stay on top of the schedule. Lunch is usually eaten together in the small break area. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s honest work and we are proud of what we manage to get done in this little plot.
