Sri Vinayasri Vidyaniketa School

Sri Vinayasri Vidyaniketa School is tucked away right in Lakshmi Bazar here in Rayadurgam. If you know this area, you know how busy it gets with the shops and people moving around all day. The school has been part of this neighborhood for a long time now. We have a modest building that faces the street, and inside, it is mostly just classrooms and a small space for the staff to sit. The walls are painted a simple shade, and we try to keep things tidy despite the dust from the bazar. Our teachers mostly live nearby, so they walk to work or take a short auto ride. During the morning hours, you can hear the bells from the nearby temples mixed with the sound of kids chatting before the first period starts. There is nothing fancy about the setup. We have wooden benches that have seen many years of use and a small office where we keep all the records in big paper files. The stairs are a bit narrow, so the kids have to go up and down in lines. In the afternoons, when the sun is high over Rayadurgam, the classrooms stay relatively cool because of the thick walls. We do not have a massive playground, but the children find spots to play during their breaks. It is a local place where everyone knows each other’s names, and we just focus on getting through the daily lessons without much fuss.
