Vivekananda School

You can find Vivekananda School right on the Main Road in Gorantla. Being on the main road in Anantapur means we see a lot of traffic passing by all day long. The school has been here for years, and most people in the town recognize the building. It’s a typical school setup with the office in the front and classrooms stretching back. We have a small courtyard where the students gather for their morning assembly before the heat of the day really kicks in. It can get quite dry and dusty here in Anantapur, so we’re always sweeping the floors to keep things tidy. The teachers come from the nearby neighborhoods and walk or take their bikes to get here. We don't have anything too fancy, just the basic stuff like desks, chairs, and blackboards. We try to keep things simple and focused on the schoolwork. Sometimes the noise from the street is a bit loud, but the kids are used to it and just keep working through their lessons. We see a lot of the same families year after year, as younger siblings start coming once the older ones finish. It’s a community school through and through, just doing its part on the main road for the local families. We aren't trying to be anything other than a solid local place for learning.
