You can find us in Kalyandurg, right near the old bus stand. Being so close to the bus stand means we hear the horns and the engines all day long. It is just part of the atmosphere here at 8/11/02. The school is a familiar spot for people living in this part of town. We have students coming in from the nearby streets, often walking or getting dropped off right at the gate. The building is older and has that character you only get with time. We spend our mornings setting up the benches and getting the blackboards ready. There isn't anything fancy about our setup. We have high ceilings and windows that we keep open to let the breeze in, though it brings in the dust from the road too. The staff stays busy managing the daily schedule and making sure the kids stay on track with their lessons. Lunchtime is the loudest part of the day when everyone is out in the common areas. We don't have big fancy offices, just a few desks for the administration tucked into a corner. Most of us have been working here in Kalyandurg for years, so we know the families around the old bus stand quite well. It’s a simple life of teaching and taking care of the property. We just keep things moving one day at a time, making sure the gates are locked at night and everything is ready for tomorrow.
