Our shop is right in Bazar Namak Mandi, not too far from the Sai Mandir. If you’re looking for cement or bricks or whatever else for a project, you’ve probably seen us. It gets pretty dusty in here with all the bags moving around, but that’s just the nature of the business. We keep a lot of stuff piled up in the back. Sometimes it’s hard to find exactly what you need right away, but we eventually dig it out. The trucks come and go all morning, dropping off new supplies. It's a loud place especially when the bells from the mandir are ringing. We’ve been in this part of town for years. Most of the local contractors know to come here when they run out of sand or gravel mid-job. We don't really do deliveries unless it's close by, mostly people just bring their own carts or small trucks. It's a straightforward operation. My cousin helps out when things get busy. We usually have some cold water for anyone who stops in on a hot day. The floors are always covered in grit, no matter how much we sweep. But it doesn't matter much to the folks buying bricks. We open early because that’s when the builders want to get started. By evening, we’re tired and ready to lock up. Sachdeva Building Material is just a local spot for people trying to get their houses finished without too much trouble from the big stores.
