Ravi Traders

Our shop is situated at 1213 Rupa Mistri Street. We are very close to the Jain Dharmshalla, so we usually tell people to look for that if they are trying to find us for the first time. The street is quite narrow and it can get really busy with people, bicycles, and scooters all trying to get through at once. Ravi Traders has been in this spot for a long time. we deal with a lot of different goods depending on what people are asking for that month. The shop is usually full of sacks and wooden crates piled up to the ceiling. It might look a bit messy to someone from the outside, but we know exactly where every single item is kept. We do not use computers to keep track of our stock; we still use the old ledgers and our own memory. It has worked for us so far, so we see no reason to change it. Most of our day is spent talking to people who stop by. Some are long-time customers and others are just passing through the market. We are not interested in becoming a huge chain of stores. We are perfectly happy right here on Rupa Mistri Street. Sometimes when it rains heavily, we have to scramble to move the stock away from the door. It is just part of the job. We do not do any fancy marketing. People find us by word of mouth or by just walking past our door.
