Gtp Granites Ltd. is located right in Majith Mandi. It’s a busy area and we are right in the thick of it. Working with stone is heavy work, so our place is mostly a yard and a small office. There is dust everywhere no matter how much we sweep. That’s just the nature of granites. We’ve been at this Mandi for a long time. Everyone around here knows us. It’s a noisy place with all the loading and unloading going on. We don't have a fancy website or a glossy brochure. If someone wants to see what we have, they just come down to the yard. We walk around and show them the slabs. It’s simple. The sun can be really hot out there in the open, so we try to do the heavy lifting in the morning. We have a few guys who have been with us for years. They know exactly how to handle the stone without breaking anything. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s honest work. We spend a lot of time talking to truck drivers. The office is just a place to keep the ledgers and have a cup of water. We don't see the need for much else. It’s a practical business for practical people. Most days we are just tired but satisfied with getting the orders out and seeing the trucks head out of the yard.
