You can find us at Shop No. 2 and 3 in Building Number 4 of Vahatuk Nagar. It’s right in the Amboli area of Andheri West. Being in Andheri, you can imagine how crowded it gets just outside our doors every day. We’ve been trading from this spot for a long time. The shops are a bit small, so we have to use every inch of space we have for storage. Boxes are usually stacked up pretty high towards the ceiling. Ramesh Trading Co. isn't a fancy showroom with lights. It’s a place where we buy and sell, talk to vendors, and manage the inventory. We spend most of the day on the move, shifting stock or checking invoices. The neighborhood is full of families and other small businesses, so there is always someone passing by the shop. We know most of the people on this block. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. We don't have a lot of high-tech systems, just the basic stuff to keep the books straight. Sometimes the monsoon makes things a bit difficult in this part of town, but we just put the shutters down a bit and keep working inside. It’s a local business through and through. We open up in the morning, sweep the front, and start the day. There isn't much to say other than we work hard to keep the trading going. We just stay focused on what’s in front of us and try to get the orders out to people on time.
