If you walk down Ramgarhia Marg near Sultan Wind Road, you will find our place. It is named after S. Harnam Singh, and we have been operating out of this spot for a long time. The workshop is usually full of metal scraps and the smell of grease. It is not the kind of place where you want to wear nice clothes. We spend most of the day bent over machines or checking parts that just arrived. The noise from Sultan Wind Road is pretty constant, so we have gotten used to talking loudly over it. Sometimes the rain makes the roof leak a little in the corner, but we just move the stuff out of the way. It is a busy life here. We don't have a fancy reception area or anyone to greet you with a smile. Usually, you just find someone covered in oil who can point you in the right direction. We handle a lot of different things throughout the day, and no two days feel exactly the same. The tea stall around the corner is where we spend our breaks. Everyone knows each other on this street. We are just a small group of people trying to keep the machines running and the orders moving. It is hard work, but it keeps us busy. K.B. Engg. Co. Pvt. Ltd. is just our name on the paperwork, but to us, it is just where we spend our lives.
