We are the Punjabi Farmers Producer Company, located right near Urban Haat in the Ram Bagh area of Amritsar. It’s a well-known spot, so we’re easy to find if you’re in the city. Being near Urban Haat means there’s always something going on around us. We’re a collective of farmers from across the Punjab region. We decided to join up to handle our produce better. Our office in Amritsar is where we coordinate everything. It’s a busy place with people coming and going all the time. We don't have any corporate polish or fancy furniture. It’s just a bunch of desks and a lot of talk about crops and markets. We focus on the practical side of farming. We spend a lot of time on the phone and meeting with local growers. Amritsar is a great place to be based because it’s such a hub for the whole state. We take pride in being from here. We don't write big mission statements. We just try to get the best for the people who actually grow the food. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic in the office, especially when the harvest is coming in. We just deal with it one day at a time. If you’re near Ram Bagh, you can see us working away. We’re just a group of Punjabi farmers trying to make things work in a tough business. It is hard work.
