Nijjer Horticulture Ltd

We are based out in the village of Meharbanpura, near Po Jandiala. It is a rural spot, which makes sense because Nijjer Horticulture Ltd is all about plants and land. We spend most of our time outdoors or in the sheds rather than sitting behind a desk. The air is better out here than in the city, though it gets very dusty when the tractors are moving around. We grow things and help other people grow things too. It is not a fancy setup, just some greenhouses, a small office with a tin roof, and a lot of dirt. We don't have a marketing department; we just show people what we have grown. Some days the weather doesn't go our way, and we just have to deal with it. That’s the nature of horticulture. We have a few guys from the village who work with us, and we have all learned by doing rather than by reading books. We aren't looking to become a giant company; we just want to keep the plants healthy and the business running. It is a lot of physical work, digging and pruning and checking the soil. If you come to visit, you will probably find us in boots with mud on our hands. It’s a simple life, focused on the seasons and the crops. We’ve been in Meharbanpura for a long time and we like the slow pace of life here.
