You can find us at Shop 307 on the ground floor, right in the heart of the area near the Golden Temple. We are specifically in Guru Bazar, around Bazar Kaserian Wala. It’s a very old part of Amritsar with lots of history in every corner. The name Kukku Di Hatti is something that sounds familiar to people around here. Our shop is quite small and filled with folders and a few calendars on the walls. Outside, the bazaar is always full of people selling brassware and clothes, so it’s never quiet. We spend our time talking to travelers who are often a bit tired from walking through the markets. We help them figure out how to get to their next stop or arrange a vehicle for a day trip. The chairs in the office are a bit worn out, but they are comfortable enough for a quick chat. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day while we wait for the phone to ring. Sometimes the electricity goes off for a bit, so we just sit outside on the steps until it comes back. It’s a very local way of working. We don’t use any complicated systems, just a phone and a good understanding of the local roads. We’ve been in this bazaar for a long time and know most of the other shopkeepers around here. It is just our daily routine.
