Manni Travel & Telecom

This is a small place on Sultanwind Road at Shop Number 4. We are right by the Sultanwind Gate, and you can see the Bijli Ghar right across from us. It’s a bit of a mix here because we do travel bookings but also handle telecom stuff like recharges and sim cards. The counter is usually covered with papers and some old phone chargers. It gets quite busy in the evenings when people are coming home from work and stop by to fix something with their mobile or ask about a car for the weekend. We don't have a lot of space, so if three people come in at once, it feels crowded. We use a couple of old computers that take a minute to start up, but they get the job done for booking tickets. The fan in the corner makes a bit of a rattling noise, but we don't mind it much. We know the neighborhood well and most people who come in are locals who have lived here for years. We just write down the trip details on whatever notepad is handy and then confirm it later. It’s a simple way of running things. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a polished office, just a practical shop where you can get a few different things sorted out at once. It’s how we’ve always done it here in Amritsar.
