D. L. Steels

You can find D. L. Steels over at 8-B, Milap Avenue, which is just off The Mall. It’s a decent location, easy enough for people to spot once they turn into the avenue from the main road. We’ve been operating from this spot for a good bit of time now. The building is solid and plain, nothing too flashy, just a workspace where we get our daily tasks sorted out. Some days are much busier than others, especially when the trucks are coming in with loads or leaving for a delivery. We don't really bother with big advertisements or anything like that. Word of mouth usually brings people to our door. Inside, it looks like a place where real work actually happens. There are stacks of files, a couple of heavy desks, and a few chairs for visitors. It's not a place for lounging around. We take our work seriously but we aren't robots. We chat with the regulars and drink a lot of tea through the day. The Mall area can get pretty crowded on the weekends with tourists, but during the week it’s mostly just us and the other businesses nearby. We like the rhythm of it. It’s not a glamorous job, dealing with steel and everything that goes with it, but it’s what we know best. We’ve grown into this space over the years. It feels like home now. Just a local business trying to do right by the people who come to see us.
