Anosh Hair Dresser is located right in the Main Bazar area of Mall Road. If you know where Custom Chownk is in Amritsar, then you basically know where we are. It is a very busy part of town. The shop is small and sometimes it gets a bit cramped when three or four people are waiting. I've been working here for a long time and I’ve seen the market change quite a bit over the years. We keep our tools sharp and our towels clean, which is what matters most. People come in from the heat of the Mall Road looking for a bit of a break and a trim. We don't have a big fancy website or anything like that. Most of our customers are people who live nearby or work in the local shops. Sometimes tourists wander in too because of the location. The lights inside are a little bright but they help us see what we are doing. We open early in the morning before the market really gets going. By the afternoon, the noise from the bazar is quite loud. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a good spot to see the world go by. We don't use any complicated systems. Just a notebook to keep track of things and a cash drawer. It’s a simple way to run a business in a very busy city like Amritsar.
