Adeeb Hair Saloon

Adeeb Hair Saloon sits in Gali No 2 of Amarkot in Amritsar. We are right opposite Daily Needs, which is where we usually go to grab a snack or a cold drink when it gets hot in the afternoon. Being in a gali means it’s a bit tighter than the main roads, but that’s just how this part of the city is. The shop isn’t huge, but it fits what we need. We have the mirrors lined up on one side and a few chairs for people to sit while they wait. The radio is usually playing something low in the background, mostly just to keep some noise going. We handle a lot of hair cutting and shaving here. You can smell the shaving cream and the aftershave as soon as you step inside. The floor is a bit worn out from all the walking back and forth we do. We try to keep the scissors sharp and the combs clean. In the mornings, the sun hits the front of the shop and we have to pull the curtain a little bit so it doesn’t get too bright. People from Amarkot know us well enough by now. We see the same faces every few weeks when their hair gets too long or their beards need a tidy up. It’s a simple life here in 143001. We open up, do the haircuts, talk about the weather, and close up when the sun goes down. It's just a normal neighborhood shop.
