A-One Beauty Salon & Training Center

We are located in Guru Teg Bhadur Avenue, right in Gali No.15. It is on Mahita Road in Amritsar. I have been running A-One for a while now. It is a salon but we also teach girls how to do hair and facials. The street can get a bit crowded with scooters, so you have to look for House Number 49. Inside, we have a few chairs and all our machines for steaming and hair cutting. It is a simple setup. I do not like those fancy places where you feel out of place the moment you walk in. Here, you can just come in your house clothes and get a haircut. My students are mostly local girls from the neighborhood. They practice on each other when there are no customers. We talk about everything while we work. The mirrors are old but they show everything clearly. Amritsar weather makes everyone's hair frizzy, so we do a lot of smoothing and treatments. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but everyone is patient. I have seen kids grow up coming here for their first trim. It is nice to be part of the street like that. We keep the place clean, though sometimes there is hair on the floor for a minute when we are really busy. Just look for the sign on the gate of the house. We are usually there from morning until late evening.
