Ashraf Salmani Unisex Hair Beauty Studio

Our studio takes up the first and second floors here on Lawrence Road. We are situated right across from Fashion Fort, so it is usually pretty easy for people to spot us from the street. It is a unisex place, which means we see all sorts of people coming in throughout the day for different things. The stairs going up are a little bit narrow, but once you get inside, there is plenty of room for everyone. We have different stations set up for hair and beauty work on both levels. It often gets loud with the hair dryers running and people talking over the music we play. We spend a lot of our time standing on our feet, moving from one chair to another to get the jobs done. The mirrors are quite large and we keep the lighting bright so we can see exactly what we are doing. Lawrence Road is always humming with traffic and people, so we hear the horns and the general movement of the city all day long. It is a busy atmosphere but we have grown used to it by now. We handle everything from basic haircuts to more involved beauty work. There is always a faint smell of shampoo and other hair products in the air. We do not have a fancy waiting room, just some simple chairs where people sit and look at their phones while they wait their turn. We just do our work.
