Down in Ward No 6 in Chandur Bazar, you’ll find the office for Anjangaon Sadhana Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited. It’s tucked away in a regular neighborhood, which suits us just fine. We are just people from the local farms who got together to see if we could make the whole process of farming a bit less of a struggle. Amravati is a place where everyone knows someone who farms, so it wasn't hard to find people who wanted to join in. We don't use any big marketing terms. We just look at the practical side of things. How do we get transport for the oranges or cotton? Who is selling the best seeds this year? These are the things we talk about. We try to help our members get a better grip on their own business. It’s not like we have all the answers, but we figure things out by talking to each other. Sometimes the market is down and everyone is worried, so we sit together and try to find a way through it. It’s a community effort more than a business. The paperwork can be a headache, and the rules change all the time, but we keep up with it as best as we can. We are just trying to make a living and keep the farms running for the next year. It’s hard work, but we are doing it for our own people here in the district.
